This Friday (April 2nd) we’ve got a treat for you (especially, if you liked the first two years of The Famous). Rewind to the days of the Odeon Bar, circa 2004/2005… and the first several shows Vic and Laurence played as a duo. (Check out this photo of one such show in Portland at Dante’s)

We’re talking Classic Country plus some other quirky songs that reappear from time to time… such as ‘The Cat’… (an homage to ‘Mr. 399’ Andres Galarraga). Well, it’s all on tap this Friday night at The Brainwash in San Francisco for an All Ages, No Cover show.

G.D. and Chris join in on the fun, but it’s a café show for The Famous. Dare we say a storyteller showcase… with some of the tales behind the songs between numbers. We won’t crank it up to 11 exactly… more like 5. But, hey it’s a free show.

Things start at 8 p.m. with Americana, roots rockers Gen 11 up first…  acoustic duo New Granada on at 9… before The Famous at around 10.

The Brainwash is at 1122 Folsom St. in SF (between 7^th and 8^th streets)

Also, big thanks to those who made it to Thee Parkside for our full tilt-rock show with Tumbledown this past Saturday night. What a night. We had a blast. Mike Herrera and his band were super. Truly great guys and a great sound to check out… we certainly hope to play with them again soon.

Now keep in mind Friday is low-key. No ‘True Believer’ action, but it should be entertaining just the same. So bring yourself, and perhaps some laundry to the Brainwash.

We love the rock club shows… and you’ve been there with us for some cool ones over the past few months playing with the likes of Rev. Peyton’s Big Damn Band and others.

Thee Parkside is a blast and makes a damn good Bloody Mary. So don’t miss Tumbledown and The Famous with openers Andrew Anderson, plus Jesse Morris and The Man Cougars.

Thee Parkside is located at 1600 17th Street in San Francisco’s Potrero Hill District, there’s plenty of street parking or you can take the ‘22 Fillmore’, which stops right outside the front door.

By the way this is how you look to us. Great shot by Bart Bishoff from the stage… the “Fru-View” as we like to call it from the drum set perspective. Again, playing the Du Nord is always fun and Elliot Randall’s CD release show was a great time and we were thrilled to support.

Next we want to see your photos from the show at Thee Parkside. It should be a cool show. The headliner, ‘Tumbledown’ is MxPx vocalist/bassist Mike Herrera’s band and is awesome. So we had better see you on the 27th.
